Review AMERICAN FLYER Prewar Tin Litho Gauge Illini Mail Car

Look at the photos carefully. The couplets are unique to illini and Columbia sets. The roof may have been repainted.

The car has air tanks and embossed journal covers on trucks. Condition is used with rust, scratches, paint loss and play wear. The last photo is catalog depiction from 1926. This is an earlier version without electrical pickup, that notched for a separate lighting wiring harness from the engine or special Pullman car.

When I got it, the paper it was wrapped in stuck to roof. It has all of its sliding baggage doors with handles. I am not an expert. This is the dark green mail car that came with illini sets.

The litho has ligaturing from age. There is no harness, but the lamp socket present. Shipped with USPS priority mail.
