Wow not a lot to say about this one. The set contains the Parr 671 steam engine with 12 wheel 2671w silver letter whistle tender, 2400 green maple wood Pullman, 2401 green hillside observation, and the 2402 chat ham Pullman. This is set number 2140WS from 1949 and has been in my personal collection for decades and is a very rare and scare set.
Each and every piece is paper wrapped and still has the factory inspection tag on it just as it came from Lionel in all the boxes are the correct early classic type and the engine and tender boxes do have a liner. It is a complete set with the 1949 catalog, track layout booklet, inspection tags, warranty card, 671 instruction sheet, bottle of smoke pills, wood tamper, and the track are all included just as it came from the factory in if you are a RCA member and have an interest in this item contact me for details.
If I had to nit pick the set the engine and tender box has some minor chaffing from the track but that'd.
Like I said in 38 years I have only ever seen this set once and this was it and because its an early passenger set just makes it all the more desirable and collectable. You never see this set in any condition and tithe only one I ever saw like this in my 38 years of collecting Lionel Postwar trains. I offer special incentives to RCA members.
This is an incredible premium condition set for the real discerning collector that wont settle for nothing less than the best and you wont find a better one I promise you that. This set just never surfaces and about as rare as they come.
